Banana Republic Career Thrift

In Colorado, we are quickly reminded that summer lasts only for a sweet moment. The chill in the air today makes it easy to pair this amazing find in slacks with layers that will transcend thirty degree shifts in the temperature throughout our day. I love this outfit because I feel unique among the typical fashion of my work colleagues.

BANANA REPUBLIC CASHMERE PANT STORY:
Harrison camel trouser pant, fully lined, 4 welt pockets. Perfect condition. This pair was 3 sizes too big.

I am pretty decent with a sewing machine, but these called for a professional. I took them right over to my tailor so she could cut them down, redo the lining inside, and hem the length. Her labor cost me $20.

My perfect cashmere and wool slacks =$26.00 plus tax!
Your Thrift Store Shopping Tip of the day is to not worry about the tag sizes. I would never have found these pants if I had never ventured out of the small section. Always go up a few and see what you can find.

  1. This is a great look. A good transitional outfit for fall as well.

  2. Thanks! It gets so cold in CO around 4 PM that it's hard to dress for what you think the weather may be.
